【解説】
『グッド・ストライプス』の岨手由貴子監督が、著書の映像化が相次ぐ作家・山内マリコの小説を映画化。都会の異なる環境下で生きるふたりの女性の人生に焦点を当てる。
東京で箱入り娘として生まれ育ち、結婚こそ幸せと思う華子（門脇麦）は、良家の弁護士・幸一郎（高良健吾）との結婚が決まる。一方、名門大学への進学を機に地方から上京した美紀（水原希子）は、学費が続かず中退。仕事にやりがいもなく東京にいる意味を見出せずにいた。

[ Story ]
Good Stripes director Sode Yukiko helms this film adaptation of a novel by Yamauchi Mariko, who has seen numerous works on the big screen. Shows the lives of two women living in very different worlds in the same city.
Hanako (Kadowaki Mugi) had a sheltered upbringing in Tokyo and equates marriage with happiness, and she decides to marry Koichiro (Kora Kengo), a lawyer from an elite family. Meanwhile, Miki (Mizuhara Kiko) moves from the countryside to Tokyo to attend a prestigious university, but she can’t keep up with tuition and drops out. Her work is unrewarding and she can’t figure out what she’s doing in Tokyo.
