常田菜摘は美大卒業後にデザイン会社に就職するもうまくいかず、現在はアイスクリーム店でアルバイトをしている。今後の身の振り方について思い悩む彼女は、常連客の作家・橋本佐保に運命的なものを感じ、彼女の存在が頭から離れなくなる。菜摘のバイト仲間で後輩の桑島貴子は、そんな菜摘を複雑な思いで見つめていた。一方、アイスクリーム店の近所に暮らす高嶋優の家に、疎遠になっていた姉の娘・美和が急に訪ねてくる。数年前に出て行った父を探しに来たという美和との突然の共同生活に戸惑う優だったが……。

【解説】
芥川賞作家・川上未映子の短編集に収録された「アイスクリーム熱」を映画化したラブストーリー。幅広いフィールドで活躍するアートディレクター・千原徹也の初監督作品。
クリエイターの夢を諦めかけている常田菜摘（吉岡里帆）は、いまはアイスクリーム屋でアルバイト中。ある日、店にやってきた作家・橋本佐保（モトーラ世理奈）に運命的なものを感じる。一方、バイト仲間の桑島貴子（詩羽）は、変わりゆく菜摘を複雑な想いで見つめていた。

[ Story ]
A love story adapted from the short story collection ‘Ice Cream Fever’ by Akutagawa Award-winning author Kawakami Mieko. This is the first film directed by art director Chihara Tetsuya, who is active in a wide range of fields.
Tsuneta Natsumi (Yoshioka Riho) is on the verge of giving up her dream of becoming a creator, and is currently working part-time at an ice cream shop. One day, Hashimoto Saho (Motola Serena), a writer, comes to the store and she feels a sense of destiny. Meanwhile, her part-time colleague Kuwashima Takako (Utaha) watches Natsumi’s changing feelings with mixed feelings.
