劇場アニメ『ジョゼと虎と魚たち』などの作品にも参加する気鋭のイラストレーター・loundrawの初監督映画。
都市伝説として囁かれる若い女性の幽霊、通称“サマーゴースト”は、花火をすると姿を現すという。受験を控える高校3年生の友也（CV. 小林千晃）は、スクールカーストに悩む2年生のあおい（CV. 島袋美由利）、病と向き合う3年生の涼（CV. 島﨑信長）とネットを通じて知り合う。3人にはサマーゴーストに会わなくてはならない理由があった。

Feature film directorial debut for cutting-edge illustrator loundraw, who worked on the feature film Josee, the Tiger and the Fish.
Urban legend has it that “summer ghost” is the spirit of a young woman who appears when fireworks go off. Tomoya (Kobayashi Chiaki) is a high school senior preparing for entrance exams, Aoi (Shimabukuro Miyuri) is in her second year of high school and struggles with the social hierarchy at school, and high school senior Ryo (Shimazaki Nobunaga) is dealing with illness. The three get to know each other online and each of them has reasons for needing to meet the summer ghost.
