【解説】
1995年公開の同名アニメ映画でも知られる柊あおいの名作漫画を、ヒットメーカーの平川雄一朗監督が実写化。主人公が大人になった“10年後”を完全オリジナルストーリーで描く。
読書が大好きな中学3年生の月島雫（清野菜名）は、同級生・天沢聖司（松坂桃李）と出会う。互いに夢を持つふたりは想いを通わせ、「夢を叶えよう」と誓い合う。そして10年の月日が流れた1998年。24歳になった雫は児童書の編集者になっていた。

Hit-maker Hirakawa Yuichiro helms this live-action adaptation of Hiiragi Aoi’s celebrated manga, which fans know from the same-named 1995 animation film. This completely new story picks up the protagonists’ lives ten years later.
Bibliophile Tsukishima Shizuku (Seino Nana) is in her last year of junior high school when she gets to know her classmate Amasawa Seiji (Matsuzaka Tori). They bond over having dreams that they want to achieve, and they promise to each other that they will make those dreams come true. Ten years go by, and the year is 1998. Shizuku is now 24 years old and works as a children’s book editor.
