1988年、とあるスタジオ。まだ男尊女卑やパワハラの匂いが残る時代の撮影現場。女監督・花子（松本まりか）は現場で悪戦苦闘していた。意味不明の理由でテイクを重ねる中、新人監督である彼女はフラストレーションを溜めまくったベテランスタッフたちからイジメの洗礼を受ける。控え室では「カラミのシーンがあるなんで聞いてない！」と前貼りを嫌がるアイドル俳優と「前貼りなんていらないわ 本番でいきましょう」と豪語する落ち目のベテラン女優の間ではトラブルが勃発したり、ようやく撮り終えた渾身のシーンも映検【映画のレイティングを判断する機関】のレイティングにひっかかり最終的に欠番となってしまったりと次第に追い込まれていく花子。そんな彼女に更に追い打ちをかける事態が。現場の混乱した状況をききつけたプロデューサーから「監督を交代します」と、クビを告げられてしまうのだ。果たして彼女は自分が理想とする映画を完成させることはできるのか・・・？
