解説
テレビアニメ「妖怪人間ベム」に登場するキャラクターの妖怪人間ベラに焦点を当て、女子高生という新たな設定で描く実写作品。広告代理店に勤める新田康介は、今やすっかり忘れ去られた「妖怪人間ベム」の特集のため、とある廃墟を訪れる。そこで偶然にも幻の最終回を目にした彼は、その衝撃の結末に正気を失いそうになる。同じ頃、街の高校に転校してきた少女ベラは周囲と明らかに異なる雰囲気を持ち、いつも1人で過ごしていた。そんなベラに興味を抱いた同級生・牧野沙織は仲良くなろうと近づくが、得体のしれない狂気に精神をむしばまれていく。執拗にベラを追う新田も狂気的な行動を繰り返すようになり、妻・鮎美は探偵の霧島に調査を依頼するが……。ベラに人生を狂わされていく主人公・新田を「レディ・プレイヤー1」の森崎ウィン、ベラをファッションモデルのemmaが演じる。監督は「貞子3D」「賭ケグルイ」の英勉。

While hunting for a new special feature to attract more buyers, the timid advertising employee finds himself falling into the maw of madness after he discovers the original cut of Bem’s final episode. At the same time, a tragedy has left a local high school reeling in the aftermath. What’s the connection between these harrowing events? A mysterious girl by the name of Bela.
