【解説】
作家・水上勉が1978年に発表した料理エッセイの世界観を、『ナビィの恋』の中江裕司監督が脚本化。主人公の作家が、四季の恵みに感謝しながら過ごす“十二ヵ月”を通して真の豊かさを描き出す。
信州之山荘で、亡き妻・八重子の遺骨と一緒に暮らす作家のツトム（沢田研二）。幼少期に禅寺で精進料理を身に着けたツトムは、旬の野菜で料理を作り、東京から訪ねてくる担当編集者で恋人の真知子（松たか子）との食事を心待ちにしていた。

Nakae Yuji, director of Nabbie’s Love, adapted the worldview of author Mizukami Tsutomu’s 1978 cooking essay into a screenplay. The film depicts the true richness of the writer’s life through the “Twelve Months” that he spends appreciating the blessings of the four seasons.
Tsutomu (Sawada Kenji), a writer, lives in a mountain villa in Shinshu with the remains of his late wife, Yaeko. Having learned vegetarian cooking at a Zen temple as a child, Tsutomu cooks with seasonal vegetables and looks forward to meals with Machiko (Matsu Takako), his editor and girlfriend, who comes to visit from Tokyo.
