This is the first of three(?) (to date) adaptations of the horror novel “Rika”, written by Takahisa Igarashi, who also wrote Miike’s The Negotiator (2003).

The script was written by pinku writer Toshimichi Saeki and directed by TV director Hidetomo Matsuda (Tales of the Bizarre, Legal V).
