【解説】
芥川賞作家・綿矢りさの同名小説に対して強い思い入れを持つ26歳（制作当時）の首藤凜監督が映画化した青春群像劇。
校内でも人気のある愛（山田杏奈）は、同級生のたとえ（作間龍斗）にずっと片想いをしている。寡黙でどことなく謎めいたその魅力は、自分だけが知ると思っていた愛だったが、たとえには病気がちで目立たない美雪（芋生悠）という秘密の恋人がいた。言いようのない悔しさに突き動かされ、愛は美雪に近づいていく。

26-year-old (at the time of production) director Shuto Rin adapts to film this coming-of-age drama based on Akutagawa Prize-winning author Wataya Risa’s identically titled novel which she was passionate about.
Ai (Yamada Anna) is a popular girl in school. She has always had a crush on her classmate Tatoe (Sakuma Ryuto) and believed only she understood his shy and somewhat enigmatic charm. However, Tatoe has a secret relationship with the sickly and plain Miyuki (Imou Haruka). Driven by an indescribable sense of frustration, Ai approaches Miyuki.
